BV Pro Am Kayak Competition

On May 25th, 26th and 27th 2012 the Buena Vista Pro-Am Rodeo returns to the Buena Vista Whitewater Park. Pros from all over the world will battle it out all weekend in this fun and competitive event.  There will also be an AM-Amateur component to this years competition all day Sunday May 27th. All ages and abilities are welcomed.

Thousands of river enthusiasts will descend upon our historic mountain town for PaddleFest, an action-packed weekend of festivities, education and competition. The BV Pro/AM will be the centerpiece of PaddleFest 2012, with the world’s top athletes battling it out on the new and improved Whitewater Park features Friday (prelims) and Saturday (finals). Winners will take home bragging rights and in the case of the pros, a healthy cash purse. So come join us and drink a cold beverage at the famous beer gardens while you cheer on the paddlers.
For the OPEN or Amateur Classes (Am), we are very excited to announce that we have great prizes for those that participate.  Including a Jackson Kayak Whitewater Boat of choice.

Everyone who enters the open (Am) classes of the BV Pro Am Kayak
Competition will be entered in a drawing to win a JACKSON KAYAK OF
THEIR CHOICE! We will weight all classes with five or more entrants
based on results (1st place will get three more tickets, 2nd will get
two more, 3rd will get one more ticket).

Saturday May 26th, 2012

4pm-7pm Open Class registration at the judging tent
3pm-7pm- BV ProAM Pro Kayaking Finals- Buena Vista River Park in South Main.Beer garden open from 4-8 pm

Sunday  May 27th, 2012
11am-4pm BV ProAm Open (Amateur) Kayak Qualifying Rounds and Finals-Buena Vista River Park in South Main.
